We’ve written during the last few weeks about how important it is to arrange for heating maintenance during the fall so your home heating system will be prepared for the arrival of cold weather. If you have a heat pump for your home comfort, you might have read this advice and thought, “My heat pump already had […]
Now that we’re fully into the fall and the Halloween decorations are up, we’re also into the season for readying homes for the winter. We’ve previously discussed how important it is to schedule heating maintenance (whether you have a furnace or a heat pump) as part of winter prep. But there are some new installations […]
Have you noticed water starting to pool around the base of your storage tank water heater? If you have, and thought, “That can’t be a good sign,” you’re absolutely right! Leaking of any type in a water heater is a major problem that needs to be fixed as soon as possible. Leaks will quickly worsen, […]
As you do your fall preparations for the coming winter season, an important question to ask yourself is if you think your furnace can make it through the cold weather. If you’ve had the same gas furnace (the most common type of residential furnace) in your home for years, it may be at the age […]

The official start of fall is this week (the 22nd), and that marks the best time to call up our HVAC professionals and arrange for your home’s annual heating system maintenance. We recently wrote a post about why it’s a good idea to schedule this job early, as well as what the benefits it provides. We’d […]
The water line: it’s the starting point of your home’s plumbing system. Without it, you wouldn’t have any fresh water coming from the municipal system, and many daily tasks would turn impossible. Fortunately, water lines are built for durability, and most of the time you won’t have to worry about getting fresh water into your […]
